What is Paint Correction?
Auto paint correction refers to the process of eliminating swirl marks, deep marring, and other paint scratches. While some car owners think that paint correction involves painting over imperfections, it does not. What actually takes place is a specialized form of polishing.
There are multiple stages to car scratch paint repairs.
A light machine polishing can be used to simply improve the appearance of your car’s paint and gloss, while more severe defects may require multi-stage car paint correction to achieve optimal results.
PAINT CORRECTION TREATMENTS
Single-Stage Paint Correction

This delicate treatment improves the appearance and gloss of your car’s paint and does not remove scratches, swirls, or other types of paint blemishes. The process includes:
- Decontamination Wash; which includes: Hand wash + Iron Remover + Tar Remover + Clay bar application.
- Single-stage polish: Correct and protect, to remove minor superficial marring. Removes up to 50% or light scratches and swirl marks.
- Hand-applied premium wax or paint sealant. You can upgrade to our ceramic coating service for an additional charge of $300.

Two-Stage Paint Correction

UP TO 80% CORRECTION
The two stages paint correction removes up to 80% of swirls, haze, and light defects typically caused by car wash machines or simply consistent outdoor parking. This treatment dramatically improves your vehicle’s paint condition, but it’s not an optimal detail treatment due to its two-stage limitation: cutting and finishing.
Generally, this treatment removes 50-80% of all swirls, haze, and light defects on softer paints and 40-60% on harder paints.
The treatment includes:
- Decontamination Wash; which includes: Hand wash + Iron Remover + Tar Remover + Clay bar application.
- 2 Stages paint correction: Correct and protect, to remove superficial marring. Removes up to 80% or light scratches and swirl marks.

Multi-Stage Paint Correction

This treatment removes most of the swirls, haze, marring, and other paint defects on your car’s paintwork. We use a heavy compounding machine polishing to remove the defects, followed by a secondary polishing stage to refine the finish and increase the paint’s gloss and clarity. This delicate treatment generally removes 85-95% of all defects.
The treatment includes:
- All painted surfaces are metered for depth to ensure adequate and safe thicknesses before polishing.
- Multi-Stage Paint Correction using a dual-action random orbital, compound, and polish. Each vehicle is evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine the optimal polish combination to deliver the highest-quality results.
- Hand-applied wax or premium paint sealant. You can upgrade to our ceramic coating service for an additional charge of $300.
